Battery Recycling
With use of the dismantling, discharging, pretreatment, hydrometallurgical recycling and other processes, the project will produce major products such as crude nickel cobalt hydroxide, crude lithium carbonate, plus byproducts such as copper sponge, aluminum shell and plastic shells, etc. The crude nickel cobalt hydroxide and lithium carbonate from battery recycling are used as the main raw materials for battery material production. After further processing, they can be directly used for battery materials production, thus yielding the higher economic benefits. Meanwhile, battery recycling is also beneficial for eliminating the environmental impact of heavy metals of used lithium batteries, which has positive social benefits.
